Default lightning engine swap

ive got a 2003 xlt 4x4 4.6l with a 6" fabtech lift and im running 35"tires. ive searched the forums and there are alot of threads close to this but none with it actually done. anyone have any ideas on the transmition too? i know the lighting tranny isnt for 4x4s. what would i need to do to my stock tranny to make it able to handle the power of the lightning engine? im trying to set my truck up as a prerunner and need more power.

the EEC, wiring harness, engine, and the transmission. The L runs a 4R100, which has a higher torque rating. But, you will probably run into transfer case issues.....so, you will need to have a transmission built to stronger specs. http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny...on/index.shtml

This is a bedrock resource and if you can find someone who is willing to do the work, this will help. Please note, whatever you think you will spend, double it. This project is going to cost A LOT of cash.

it would be cheaper to just throw a s/c on your engine and beef up the tranny

its still going to need bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, and the transmission will have to be pulled and gutted. oh, and tunage. A blower kit is roughly 3500-4000.
