Lifted 03 2x4 Supercrew PreRunner build
Before coming home. My first truck in over 25 Years. I'm No stranger to welding and fabricating my own bumpers, Rockers, Exo Cages, Skidplates, Boatsides and Suspensions. I have been building Jeeps for over 25 years. Which is why I haven't owned a truck. So here it is a 2003 F-150 SuperCrew XLT 2WD. I have stripped out the front suspension and steering. to be replaced by all Moog and Rough Country parts. Suspension wise I have 3 inch R/C knuckles and 3 inch front Coil springs. With R/C Nitro shocks. And Moog upper & lower arms. The rear will have R/C blocks and Nitro Shocks. For the body I have purchased OEM lower rockers and cab corners. Not quite sold on fiberglass front fenders. Tire and wheel combo. Wheels are Flat Rock black steel. Tire are 33X12.50 BFG KM2s. Question any 2WDs out their running longer knuckles and lifted springs?

here she is sitting on jack stands I removed all the front suspension and steering. Took advantage of replacing the still working original starter. Was thinking on installing headers on the 4.6 but still researching who has the best header system out their.
Pesky Starter It hung their till it died. That far top bolt was a real challenge. So I purchased a new Ford starter to replace it.

3 inch R/C knuckles with Nitro Shocks
Wow Don't think I will have any issues mounting up 33s BFG KM2s
Surprised with how much clearance their is. Only thing left to do on the front. Is replace transmission cooler lines .send it out for a alignment. Will get the rear axle blocks addressed tomorrow.

Lift, Steering, oil dipstick tube , and Transmission cooler lines are complete. New wheels and tires installed. I mount my own tires the old way with tire spoons. For balancing I have been using tire beads. Been using these for years on my off road rigs, Tow rigs and Semis. They work great and they don't fall or get tore off. You can purchase tire beads on Ebay.

After getting new lugnuts wheel spacer/adapters. Changed my mind on the BFG 33s. They just stuck out to far. So I bought a set of 285X75X16 Federal Couragi MTs. Wife has a set of 37s on her JK. They have great road manners and very quite for MT tires. And she wheels the dog snot out of them. going to mount them on the ford stockers.
