Default Lift question?

Guys just wandering how tough it is to put a 6" lift on this year of Fx4 f-150? Ive been told by some not to try it however I put two lifts on my 06 Jeep Wrangler but the Ford does look harder is it worth saving about $700 to do it myself or is it a pretty difficult project?

2002 Fx4 XLT Automatic 5.4L (4x4) the lift I was looking at Skyjacker, Fabtech, BDS, and lastly (Tough Country) with Deaver LS all of which are 6" I'd like some pros and cons on the lifts haven't heard of any negative about the 1st 3 but have on the tough country, but there is such a price differance and with the LS upgrade was told the tough country would be a real good lift with not to bad of a ride either and I've heard the other 3 and their so called (warranties) which are a key selling point of many, were not as honored today, that they are getting pickier on why they replace parts whether its mechanical failure or not or just abuse, wondering is this true as well?

installing the lift shouldnt be a problem. Fabtech has a great reputation for their lifts, but if you are looking for a deal go with tough country. Both those lifts should hold up, but from what I have heard you get what you pay for.

Cant answer your questions about the warranty. I can understand why they are reluctant to replace parts because I have seen some of the dumb s**t people do with their lifted trucks.

All are pretty decent lifts. As far as warranty goes my buddy has a BDS lift on his sonoma and they have replaced many parts that he has broke four wheelin.
