Default Leveling kit

I just got a 2000 regular cab short bed, v6, 2wd. I wanted a leveling kit so I could fit 33's. The guy at my local 4wheelparts sold me a 1.5" kit because he said the 2.5" kit would require me to get new radius arms and a few other things. He told me I should easily be able to run 33's with the 1.5 kit. Is this true or will I need a body lift as well? Was he right about the 2.5 kit? Will my truck look "level" with the 1.5" kit?
(P.S. Sorry its long and sorry if its already been covered but I couldn't find anything on it.)

Yea you should be able to fit 33's. I have the same truck only long bed but with the same level and it leveled out the truck perfect. You may have to trim just hair on the front fenders but i do think the back should clear it. At most, 1" blocks in the back but i don't think that'll be necessary. O and he was right about the 2.5" kits, thats why i didn't buy one, i got mine on "autoanything.com" and it says under the specifications for the 2.5" that you need to replace some arm or something too so, i went with the smaller. Hope that helps...

Do they just go right on top of the springs? This is the kit:http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...n=DAYKF09105BK
