Default LED tailight bulbs

Ok so I bought these LED's off ebay... don't crucify me.

It says that they should replace the turn signal/brake light. When I installed them the signals work fine and they brake fine but do not turn on with the headlight/parking lights.

I haven't contacted the seller yet. Any ideas?

sounds stupid but they do not work as the same as conventional light bulbs in the sense that they is no wrong way to insert them into the plug but try pulling out the bulb and turning it around, it should work then. I ran into the same thing when I installed my LED tail lights.

I'm pretty sure i read that when i bought the lights and i tried turning them around but i will try again. but if that was the case, wouldnt the brakes and turn signals not work?

From the picture they appear to only have one set of contacts. Which would make them a 3156 bulb. They will work in the reverse lights but there needs to be two sets of contacts for them to work with running lights and brake/blinker setups. With regular bulbs, a 3156 is single filament and a 3157 is a dual filament. Check that out. That's probably your problem (if the bulbs are identical to the ones pictured.)

Do not use leds in the tail lights unless you have a way to make the blinker more prominent. The brightness difference isn't very much and isn't very noticeable. I've been stopped for using them multiple times. IF you must use leds, fork out the money and buy VLED Triton v3 LED bulbs. Expensive but worth it.

Thanks for the input, after looking at the bulb, there are 2 sets of contacts on the bottom of the bulb housing. I also pull this up so that I'm not going completely crazy.

Could it be possible that I would need the bulbs installed on both sides (I only did one for testing purposes) with the inline resistors installed to get them to operate correctly in the running light mode?

Yes that is possible. Also, I've had canbus LEDs installed and the whole dash and everything acted up. Just some food for thought.

All you have to do is replace he flasher module under the dash to allow the bulbs to flash correctly with lower current draws. I can't remember exactly which one it is so someone will have to add too this but superbrightleds is where I get my LEDs from. They're expensive but it's one of those you get what you pay for deals, eBay leds are true Chinese crap

I've already installed the resistors that correct the hyperflash which I believe is what you're talking about. They work fine when signaling and braking, it's when I turn my headlights or just the parking lamps on that they don't work.

The seller sent me this:

yes, the item is Brake/Stop/Turn bulb,
it has not any function whenruning
please check the title.
Application: Reverse / Backup Light, DRL Daytime Running Light, Stop Tail, Brake, Turn Signal Light, Fog light, side marker light, Parking light, Reverse light etc.

- better-like

I bolded the part that doesn't make sense to me...doesn't DRL or daytime running light sound like what isn't working for me? If it is, his response wouldn't make any sense

I guess I'm confused then. Is there an LED that will do what a normal replacement bulb would do? i.e. brake/signal/come on with headlights?

I thought these would do that.
