Ok sweet thanks!

So how many bulbs and what sizes do you use for a 98? Any of you guys do the hvac controls to? If so what bulbs are used for that?

I did my hvac. The hvac and the instrument panel both take the t10 style. There is just 2 bulbs for it. I believe the instrument panel has 4 or something like that. I don't remember exactly

Does it light up a bright blue or kinda a faded looking blue because in the 99-03 guys it looks way bluer than the 97 and 98's

Mine are pretty bright. I would go through superbrightleds.com or one of the good websites. The ebay ones burn out pretty quick

Take a look at mine (the '98) - This is using "super white" - only because the blue film takes care of the color. That's why the indicator needles remain orange. There ARE slight color differences (based on "temperature" in "K" rating) due to manufacturers - but they're close. Remember, for a '98, you'll need 5 194s for the cluster, and 2 more for the temp controls (all Super White, or Cool White as some refer to).

Now about quality....The ones I got off Ebay were good, but for some reason, the 2 most upper ones (top of the tach and MPH gauges) would burn out completely, or flicker after 2 or 3 months. I don't know about most on this forum, but removing the cluster takes about an hour, and the plastic tabs all over the place do not care for constant removal and re-install (OK, BROKEN!!!!). The 2 Ebay specials in my temp control panel have not failed in two years. Gauge cluster is another matter. Get the highest quality ones you can, so you won't have to continually take the dash apart.

Sadly I have done it so much it takes me like 15 minutes. As he said, though, its a hit or miss with the ebay ones. I got shipped 3 bulbs that wouldn't light up at all, even after flipping them. The ones that did work I haven't had a problem yet.

Same here don't worry lol. I screwed up and bought ebay bulbs. But I will replace them when they burn out

The SuperbrightLEDs, although having fewer LEDs in the assembly, are better constructed (you can even see just by the contacts alone) and last longer. Some of the Ebay specials I wound up using in landscape lighting (12V) since I simply soldered then to the fixture, which eliminates the intermittent flickering. I only want to take the dash apart only to add something new - not constant replacement of cluster bulbs.

I bought some lights from HMS from my tail lights and corner lights. Super bright, and the quality is amazing! Not a single issue with them at all.
