Ok so my aftermarket head unit is mostly red, I want a red gauge cluster, and white every thing else. Only problem is I have a green truck and I wanted some under glow under the dash and in the auto-dome light(these will only be on when the door is open). Do you think it will look like Christmas? or it will be ight?
Just do red all LED's in the interior so all the lights inside match your head unit. Get the strips from autozone I've put the blue in my truck, red in my friends Chevy and my grandad's F-450 and it looked sweet(couldn't find any good pics). I've even done pink in a girls car hahaha

But they're really bright and have lasted good.
But I really like to match it up with head unit color

It gives off a real cool ambiance in the truck. All I have left is to swap my cluster and HVAC to blue LED's too.

No I made sure to tuck all my wires, you only see them when you look for them. And I like them better under the dash but the SuperDuty didn't have that good flat lip like ours has.

Too bad you don't have the '97-'98 cluster - hyper-white LEDs turn that cluster into that blue you've got going on!

And worse - you'll wind up with blue needles as well due to the routing of the backlighting. OR...you can remove the green film - and add your blue (I saw a YouTube posting that someone used some 3M colored tape, and kept the lighting hyper white), which will keep your needles red. Once you open that cluster, you'll be creative!

The ones I've seen on the newer clusters just peeled the film and put blue LEDs in and the needles were still red.

In my case, Murphy's Law has yet to be repealed. I hope it's that simple for you!
