Default LED electrical help

Okay so I have a 2000 f150 and I just swapped blue LEDs into the cruise control buttons. All the lights work except the right cruise control panel (accel, reset, coast) is lit up even when my headlight switch is off. So the button is constantly lit unless the truck is actually off. Anyone know what this could be?

It's probably bleed over from the circuit. Being for cruise, I'd imagine it has a little voltage present all the time. Sometimes with LED's, you also need a resistor to keep it off. Usually a 1,000 ohm 1/2 watt resistor will do the trick.... but it's really a matter of seeing what works best.

I'd just go back through and see if you missed anything when you pulled it apart..... assuming it worked before?

just took it apart and noticed i had run a jumper wire to test something in the buttons and forgot to take it out. clipped it out and everything is working perfect now. thanks for your input tho!
