I've noticed this part under front of my truck that looks freshly wet all the time and if you touch it it's got a greasy coating on it and part of the frame as well. Looks sorta like oil but I don't have an oil leak.. Here it is anyone know what it is?

 

Power steering box or line might be leaking.

 

When I got the truck about three months ago the power steering fluid was low... So you think that's what it might be? I haven't notice anything really though, could it be a slow leak?

 

My 94 had a small seal leak where the pitman shaft went into the box. I used some Lucas PS fluid instead of transmission fluid and the leak stopped. On my 95 the PS gear box was replaced bt the PO. On my 92 work truck I replaced the seal iot self. On my fathers 83 the PS pump had a leak and we had to replace it.
