Default Leaf spring problems

The rear leaf spring bracket broke and the leaf spring is pushing into the underside of my bed. I called my local shop and they want $250-$275 to fix it. So should I attempt this fix myself or should I trust this to a professional?

Yes I would say the same also... especially if you have access to tools.... Is it the keeper or the mounting bracket???

I don't know, I would assume it's the mounting bracket it's at the very rear. My next question would be how do I do it? The end of the spring is pressed firmly against the underside of the bed, do I need to remove the whole leaf spring and re-insert it with the new bracket?

anyway you can snap a pic of it and post it?

Get the truck up on stands and remove wheels. Then with more jacks in place loosen the u bolts that hold the pack together....then realign the leafs and tightn everything back down. Then either buy a strap or make you one. All it does is keep the leafs from shifting.
