Default leaf spring help

Hi guys new to the forum
So I was rotating my tires this afternoon when I noticed that my drivers side rear leaf hanger has a crack in it starting on the bottom and going up around the bushing/bolt and stopping about 1 inch before the other side my questions are has anyone else experienced this and are there any fixes besides welding and keeping my fingers crossed. I am a DIY er but NOT a mechanic, thanks in advance

Yeah, you replace them. You have to torch/drill/air hammer the rivets out and the new ones bolt in.

You have to relieve the weight on the springs and remove the rivots. It's a dirty job and one a guy can get hurt at. Need stands for the truck to sit on and also the axle so it doesn't fall down and pinch you. Truck jacks work well and good gloves and eye protection. Freeing the back would first be a cautious move. You want to grind, sand and paint your rail to keep rust at bay and bolt the new on, welding if you see a crack, drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it from keepen on cracken.
