Default LCA Bolts?

Hello All,

After replacing my front end suspension on my 03 f150 RWD my LCA slides out and always becomes unaligned and causing improper alignment from the toe. I have really cranked the bolts down and no solution.

Has anyone used a chamber style bolt or some
type of lock washers to resolve an issue with the bolts not locking down?

please advise and thank you I’m advance.

Do you have a picture? What do you mean by "slides out"?

I mean that it slides out of alignment due to the lower control arm. I was looking if anyone knew of any alignment can bolts that would resolve my issue. If that makes sense.

I can take a photo later today if needed.

If I recall correctly the drivers side LCA has a horizontal slot instead of a hole. So if not tightened sufficiently it could allow the lower assembly to move in and out. I don't recall the torque spec off hand, but it sounds like it is too loose and maybe missing washers or spacers.

It kind of seems like you put things back together wrong. That would be my guess. There should be no need at all for special bolts to maintain alignment. Millions of trucks do not have that problem.

Good luck.

I’ll see what I can find about it. I was looking to see if anyone knew of there was a type of bolt kit or some type of washers that would assist more with locking it into place.
