Lariat “two tone”

I have a 03 Lariat SC in white over gold, pretty common color scheme. Can anyone confirm if the “gold” is painted on or just a mat they have clear coated over?

does the color wrap around to the inside of the door jam? to the best of my knowledge they are painted not a decal
