Default Lariat options

I have owned this truck for a week now, and I am still trying to figure out my options. I have searched like crazy and some stuff just doesn't add up. Edmunds says that I should have the 4.6 with rear drums. I have the 5.4 with 4 wheel disc. I've got the 3.55 LSD rear end as well. I haven't been under the truck to see if I have skid plates yet. I forgot to check last weekend. I have used a bunch of VIN decoders, but none of them give me any info I don't already know. I have also tried to look up my window sticker, but none of the searches work, I am guessing my truck is too old. I just want all of the answers...

I know if you have an "L" engine code, it has a 5.4L, and on mine i have an H9 for the rear end... I always thought all of the lariats were 5.4's, and 4 wheel disc brakes and that only the XLT's and base model super crews got the 4.6, and had optional disc/drum brakes? Wow, you have an LSD? I wish mine had come with one of those.....

I'm almost positive that I've seen a V6 Lariat.. And I've got a 2wd XLT 5.4 with a 3.55 LSD. Ford isn't very consistent. LOL

This is the 2002 brochure, but I assume the packages would be very similar:

Well if memory serves me correctly, last time i got stuck, only one wheel spun... I thought LS made both wheels spin? Obsolete, i've got power everything, keyless entry, a sunroof, leather 60/40 seats, 5.4, 2wd, bedliner, 6 cd changer, and i think thats it...

It could have the wrong oil in it, too much friction modifier, or just plain worn out. Or any combination of the three.

Hmm, well last time my dad fixed the wheel seals, he put 75w-90 in it.... And thats what ive put in it ever since... Is that wrong? I know we've never put friction modifier in it, we were told we didn't need it.
