Could some one let me know if 285-75r16 's fit without hitting or rubbing on a standard 1998 4wd ?

Im sure they will fit I have 295/70R17 and they barely rub

Every truck is different (consider sag and wear on suspension system) and depending on the spring code in your door jam may be set higher or lower than other 4x4's. But they should fit without rubbing.
