Good questions. The entire plastic/storage stuff had to be pulled out. I pulled it out 4 years ago and still have it, but don't remember what was involved. I had to put the jack and stuff in the bed of my truck (I have a topper) so no big deal. I went to a larger full size jack anyway. The only thing I did was grid off about 8 screws poking through above the speaker box area so I could carpet it smooth.

I got the XTANT X1001 on the 3 Kicker 8's and the air movement is unreal. I was very underpowered with the smaller amps. This amp takes 0 gauge directly to the amp, its a beast. So with this extra air volume, once I put the seats back, it sealed up the front of the subs and stopped all air flow... and it sounded muddy/muffled.

What to do?

I removed the seat coverings and cut out the plastic backing that was blocking the sound/air to the subs. I then drilled a bunch of holes in the foam where the sub faces...

This solved everything. The subs hit so hard that I can't see out of my mirrors now.

Default third sub

Yes.. I did. I ended up putting a separator for each sub making the box exactly .33 cu/ft for each sub. Kicker recommended this for optimum performance and they were correct!

I also just added some Phoenix Gold 6.5 components in the front doors and oh man these suckers are awesome. $90 new to the door on woofersetc.com

Love these. They sound 100 times better than the Polk Momo's I had

Are you speaking of the sub in the middle? It was a very tight fit. In fact.. I had to dremel out about 1/8" of wood in the back to make the sub clear. But it fits. Yes.. I cut a piece of wood to go inside the box and I sealed it with liquid nails all the way around to make the air chambers separate.
