Hey everybody, ran into a little problem yesterday and can't quite figure out what the problem is. My remote entry on my 2001 F150 (Sport 4x4 4.2 V6) has quit working. I put a new battery in the remote and even tested it at one of the autozone remote testers and it tested as functioning properly, however it does not work for the vehicle what so ever. It did work over the weekend, I even tried to reprogram the remote (turn key from off to on 8 times in 10 seconds) and it still is not working. The electric locks work fine from inside the vehicle. Has anyone had this issue? I read something about the "RAP" system, apparantely its an electronic module that controls theft and anti-lock capabilities, but not completely sure if that is the culprit. Are there any quick checks to find the underlying problem? Thank you in advance for any help...
