Keyless Entry Pad Help
I believe it has batteries in it and is held on with tape. See the link? There's pictures of the back of it no wires and a pull thing to stick it. But wouldn't a Supercrew door handle work? If so the keypad and handle is on tasca for a decent price. Also In my area there's A lot of expeditions with the keypad that are wrecked.

I always thought this thing couldnt be a ford original but I have the little card in the glove box from ford with the five digit code on it.
I like the door handle version a lot better but if I pull this im just left with a hole.
I really dont want to pay dealership prices but I will do a part lookup and see what I can find.

It is somehow programed like another door remote fob, and probably just has a dead battery. No idea if it will just work if the battery is replaced.
Go to eBay and you will find this. It is used in 2005 and up Fords. It will work with your truck also, even though it is for newer add ons. Here is link to the kit.

The price of the pad is the same almost as the kit. Here is link to a pad .

If you can't find the code to reprogram, check the glove box for a card. If it isn't there, you will have to read the number off the box under the dash. You have to be a contortionist to read it, but with a good flash light, you should make it out okay. Good luck.

Thank you all so much. That is great news. Im going to look and see if I have the wired hookup in my door. If not then I will go about changing the batteries and see what happens.
If I have the wired connection I will look at tasca and the yards and see if I can find the right handle for the job.

I installed the same one on my '08 a couple of weeks ago. My brother works for a Ford dealership and got it for me. I think he said the batteries are non-replaceable and only last about three years. Mine is a Ford acc.

Well that is not good news. You wouldn't happen to know how he went about programming it would you?

These are supposed to be smaller so it might look better under the handle on the door but if it still sticks out it might be going on the lip of the tool box out of site.

Put it on your roof in the little channel up there. Out of sight, but still easy to get to (well, on my stock height 2wd it is, not sure on taller trucks or personal height).
That is what is nice about these, they can stick on anywhere and work. I read of some with Ford cars hiding them under the trunk lip above the license plate so they are not seen but easy to get to.
Maybe on the inside of the fuel filler door?
