Default Keyless entry not working on warm days

My 2002 F150 has keyless entry that will only work when it is cool outside. It seems if it is above a certain temperature (70ish but not sure of threshold) the keyless entry does not work. During the winter it works all the time. In the summer, it does not work at all. I did a search and could not find anything. It is not the clicker itself. Batteries are fine on both units. May be a simple fix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm not sure what the Ford equivalent of a Dodge skim module is, so you'll have to figure that one out. But according to this (the only page I could find on remote entry not working due to heat), it was the skim module. Have a read for yourself, it's not too long. That's the only advice I think you're going to find here. It's a pretty rare problem.
