I have searched every way that i could think of with no result.
Where is the module for the keyless entry number pad, I think it is called the RAP MODULE, located on a 2002 f150?
I need to verify the code because the code on the card with the owners manual does not work to verify that the factory installed module has not been replaced.

It is under the dash, drivers side, right above the brake pedal. It is a cream colored box. Should have the sticker you need right on the front.

 

I apologize, I thought I had a pic of one in the truck.... but I only have a picture of my spare. This is what it looks like:

look up toward firewall
has code on outside of box...makes it easy to mess with a friend..

 

Can they be retrofitted to a '97? I have a Viper alarm with the capability but it's too complicated to me for door locks.

 

My 97 does not have any wiring at all for it. It's an XLT too, not an XL. I seem to remember AKdoggie saying the 97's didn't get any of the wiring.... at all. My 98 Expy has it all, and PATS too.

Do you already have power locks? It's pretty simple if you have power locks already.

 

Yes, just not remote. The Viper instructions must be for installers, I've done a lot of wiring but it too much for me to wrap my mind around.

 

Usually DEI uses Purple for the positive trigger and Green for the negative.

 

It's been a few years but I think that's the company and sold under many names. I look at my manual again and see ifn I can understand it this time. I am disappointed in the ting though, sensitivity all the way up, mounted to metal body and you have to just about drop the tailgate to set it off.

 

Yes, DEI makes Viper, Python, Hornet, Clifford.....

I personally like the Viper stuff best.
