Well ended up drilling out and replacing it, had a mechanic friend look at it and it was the last option. Thanks again guys!

I replaced a shift tumbler that had worn bushings. After replacing and reinstalling the ignition tumbler, the key will not turn. Can the actuator bind causing this? I even removed the tumbler and tested with a flat blade screwdriver. It appears to be locked - although the shift tumbler works very well. Confused!!!!

I had the same problem awhile ago. Little bit of lithium grease on the the ignition switch actuator rod and no more issues.
