So my dad has a 2001 F150 Lariat 2WD and when he locks his doors and shuts the doors his headlights flash one time..I have a 2000 F150 Lariat 4WD and my truck will not do that at all. I believe my door lock actuators are about to need to be replaced. Would these have anything to do with that or is this something they started doing on 2001 models?

 

Look in your factory owners manual. There might be something there on programming your truck to do the same.
