Default Jet Performance Chip

Hey i Just recently Installed a Jet Performance Programmer into my 1999 F150, its a 4.6 V8 I set my RPM limiter to 8000, and maxed out my shift points, will that make my truck slower?

No none of that will make your truck slower however, you need to be careful! By raising the RPM "Red Line" you run the risk of over reving the motor and causing damage, like spinning a bearing.

On the other hand you have raised the shift points for your transmission, all that really does is tell the trans to wait longer to shift and increasing the shift pressure in the transmission itself. Now neither one of those things are bad if your transmission is in good shape, if it is weak already you run the risk of breaking something as a result.

As long as you keep the skinny peddle on the right off of the floor all the time you should be fine.

P.S. let me know how you like that thing I was just looking at picking one up off a buddy of mine.
