Default I've got the death wobble!

Hi guys, I need some help....I'm pretty sure this was an existing problem that was brought to light by the new 2" lift and 33"x12.5 tires I just put on. I have a 98 f150 4x4 4.6l, I just replaced both half shafts, inner and outer tie rods, and new shocks. I have to get an alignment and wheel balance this week. Now for the problem....before the lift and tires, I noticed the steering linkage from the steering wheel to the gearbox had a lot of play but was not causing a problem so I wasn't worried about it at the time. I was wondering if this could be causing the wobble and if so is it an easy fix? Also would a steering stabilizer kit help? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If nothings aligned or balanced yet then theres a pretty good chance that thats your problem.

If you have play between the steering box and the steering wheel then a stabilizer will not help anything. A stabilizer only keeps the front wheels from jerking on rough roads and does not fix anything from the steering box to the cab.

Do u know if the rod from the steering wheel to the gearbox will have to be replaced or is there just a joint or both? The alignment is close because I measured before I took the tie rods apart. It only pulls slightly to the right. The tires have been balanced, I'm just not sure how long ago because I just bought them from a friend who had them for a while. I just don't know what else it could be. Thanks for the reply!

i doubt youll have to replace the whole rod, there is a universal joint on it, and that may be worn out
