Default Intermittent starter grind replaced starter and flexplate

Hey guys hoping someone can help me out my 02 supercrew f150 5.4. had a intermittent starter grinding issue started about 2 year ago and got worse as time went on. I have already replaced the flex plate as it had some teeth worn out and have tried 3 different starters including a remanufactured Ford starter. And it still keeps on grinding sometimes. I have also looked through some of the forums and tried some of the solutions suggested I have upgraded the starter, ground cables, and battery cables for larger ones replaced the starter relay on the firewall and replaced the ignition switch. I have taken to a mechanic and they can't find out why it does it and only in one specific spot. I have noticed that sometimes when I try to start it will grind but then turn the key back and try again and it will start no issue or if I roll it forward or back while in gear ot will start with no problems. So far all the solutions I have looked at in the forums don't seem to fix my issue. Thanks in advance.

When I had a similar problem I found the cause was a weak battery. Replaced the battery and problem solved.

Thanks. I had my battery tested today both in the truck and out and it tested good both times.

I've been having the same intermittent grinding issue for the last 60k miles, but mine doesn't feel like getting worse yet.
