I'm starting to paint some of the interior pieces of my truck. got the part surrounding the headunit, over the gauges, and over the steering column. i plan on painting the textured section on the door panels, along with the speaker vents. i was wondering if the air bag cover just popped out. also there is a piece on top of the dash i was wondering if that was removable.

 

I don't know about the airbag cover but if you're talking about the oval-shaped piece near the top of the area where the airbag is when you say on the top of the dash that pops out easily, just take a flathead and pry it off carefully. I'm thinking about doing the same.

 

I did my interior on my 99(look in my pics), but didnt want to mess with the air bag cover
