Default Intake question

I have a 2001 f150 5.4 and of course ive come across the leaking manifold gasket problem. its leaking antifreeze into cylinder 2 so im going to rebuild it as soon as i get a chance. but i was wanting to replace the intake at the same time because its plastic and i heard they crack easily. i have seen alot of people on here replace them with dorman intakes but they are plastic too. is there anyone that makes a metal one like the 4.6 has.

99s have a metal intake manifold.

97/98 did too, but they won't work for you.

yes, like I said, 97/98 won't work. 99 will because 99+ had the PI heads & manifolds.

Plus with a 99 one, you can gasket-match the runners
