Default Intake manifolds.

Looks like I need one, and they aren't cheap. Anybody have any luck with any of the afternmarket brands, or should I shell out for OEM?

Dorman is the usual go-to. There was someone just recently that had a problem with them though, not sure how that happened. For the most part they have been a good replacement.

Good to hear, that's the one I was looking at. Was it a fitment problem this guy had, or did it just suck?

I can't remember, think is was something to do with an o-ring. Wasn't to long ago though.

Dorman will outlast a 16 yr old truck most likely.

I used the Dorman. I did have an issue with the o-ring on the PCV elbow (well, not a problem, Dorman did not include one, make sure you have it before you put it together).

Pretty straightforward, several videos on youtube on how to do it.

If you have not done your spark plugs recently, I would do them at the same time, they are right there for the taking when you have the manifold off.

Not bad, about four and a half hours to get the monster off not counting the trip to Harbor Freight for the 32mm crescent to get that EGR nut off. Now I've got some time to clean it up a bit before the new intake gets here.

These plastic gaskets with the blue rings, does the Dorman come with those or will I need to get a set of those too?
