Injector oring leaking Please Help!!

Default Injector oring leaking Please Help!!

I have a 2001 ford f150 4.2. I replaced the upper and lower plenum gaskets to fix other issues and codes i was getting.Also replaced fuel injectors since i was right there and figured it would be best.Everything is together runs great no codes but i have an injector leaking fuel .1 i can smell it around the cab and 2. i can see it puddle up around it.Ive since went back in and replaced the orings on that 1 leaking injector but it still leaks.Can someone please help me out here...TIA

O-rings are cheap, and fairly simple to fix. It sounds like you already know how to do it, so I will spare you the install details. I personally have been using Vaseline to install them since I was a youngster, but some fellers prefer a little motor oil. It helps the o-ring go in easy and helps make a seal.

I used Vaseline,sorry i should have said in orginal post..Thanks for the heads up tho.

Best thing to do then is take it back apart and see if one got pinched, or maybe some debris was missed when you cleaned it out.

Did all the old O-rings come out when you removed the old injectors? Were they all accounted for?

yes all accounted for.my best guess at this point would be some trash/debri (as 89gt stated) left behind but i looked it all over a bunch times before putting back together
