Hey guys - just looking to be pointed in the right direction. Long story short looking to upgrade my drive train sometime in the next 2 years. No plan to buy a new truck, but my tranny is on the way out. The power plant still runs well.

My goal is to make a plan to increase power over the next 2 years as I upgrade sections of my truck. I plan to keep it for 5 - 10 more years.

What would you recommend I start with researching? Just trying to get headed down the right road. I've considered a gear reduction, beef up the transmission with a swap. Not sure on the motor yet. It it was blown I'd consider a lightning swap, but it's still strong just underpowered to pull my 35" tires. It's geared high though.

Anyway not looking for much, just throw some thoughts out for me. Thanks

Definitely look into a regear 4.10 or 4.56 if you do more city than hwy. Go ahead and look into a shift kit for the trans and a programmer like the x4 to correct your shift points. The shift kit will help your trans last longer and if you are looking to increase power you will def need a programmer later.
