Need help
why would both bank 1 and bank 2 IMRC codes come up
do they generaly go bad at the same time or should i be looking at some thing else,as to why they do not work.

 

Seeing in your profile that you have a 98, I'd guess your imrc bushings got dried and cracked. I just put a new motor in my 2002 and the bushings were all shot so I replaced them. There are 4 of them on the back of the intake manifold. It'd be really tough to get to them without pulling some stuff off the top of the motor, and even then it would be a pain. There is a control that has 2 little metal arms that open the butterfly valves, and the plastic bushings dry out from all the heat and age and break. I would check those first, I bet that's all it is.

The little arm goes into a white plastic bushing and that's what I am talking about.
