Important info for everyone.
Greetings Ford proud owners, I have something that might be useful to anyone that owns a F150 with v6 engine/Manunal Tran from 1997-2003. I had a problem with acceleration in my F150 at 189,000 miles. I found out that the ignition coil fail on me before my fuel pump was about to fail on me. I also believe that if your fuel pump is about to fail on you that it puts alot of strain on the ignition coil to fail causing hestation rough acceleration. I recommended check the coil first even the spark plugs and wiring is good working order. If you know your fuel pump and filter and relay is good. Check the coil first. I replaced the pump, filter, and fuel relay before I change the coil it run like new. I not sure the problem could happen to newer models with auto tran. Hope this is useful to everyone. Ya'll have a great day.
