i was thinking about tinting my taillights .. but i heard that its illegal... is that true?? cuz i see a ton of people with tinted / smoked taillights. thanks yall

 

I don't know if it varies from state to state but I know in Ohio "technically" they are illegal but I've had blackouts on my truck and my Mustang for years and never been bothered, even when I was pulled over and given a ticket for window tint being too dark.....3 times in 3 months.....then the window tint on driver and passenger window came off. lol

 

No not here...I see people with black almost not seeable lights.

 

they are "suppose" to be illegal here. I have tinted the tails on my mustang with "niteshades"

 

not sure about the law but my friend has never been stopped here in texas. he has had the black lund covers for about 5 years on head and tail lights.

I used some spray tint on my 95 C1500 tailights more than 10 years ago, never had a problem here.
