Question ignition coil ?

Driving home today felt a shudder then heard a loud clicking/popping....when I got home found a spring and ignition coil laying on my valve cover. Going to pick up a new one at the store tomorrow, anything special I need to know about the install? Thanks, Chris

Default Ignition coil.

I love dielectric grease, keep the moisture out. Put a little on the outside and the inside.

More than likely you have just experience a blown spark plug and yes there is more to it than just replacing the coil. If that is the case there are a couple of different ways to fix this problem. I have use the Timesert kit on my truck and have had great luck with it. Do some reseach on this and it will tell you some different ways to fix it. Good luck
