Before I did mine, I had to spray PB Blaster on it, and the outer tie rod ends. I never changed tire sizes, so alignment never strayed too far...but after almost 15 years, nothing wanted to budge. I let them "soak" for a few days, and was able to replace them. I too, went to Rockauto for the parts, but I let the tire joint do thie install of my parts, since it was on a lift anyway.

You just need a bar to pry on it while you shock it good with ballpeen after loosening it. Then you count the turns to get it back close to where it originally was. Then it's measurements or the alignment machine again.

Some add a shock up there if you run thru pots holes some.
