Default idle issue

hi guys thanks for taking a look wondering if anyone can point me in a good direction. i have a 97 f150 4.6 160k miles. so my problem is after the truck is fully warmed and sitting at a red light for a little bit the truck begins to idle very rough and my exhaust then smells like some one ripped ***. the idle issue only happens say after sitting for about a min or 2 and not at every stop. then it begins to idle like crap for maybe 30 seconds then it evens it self out and returns to normal idle i have no check engine light. other than that the truck runs great
