I am new but have a problem. I have had 2 mech look at my 2001 F150. On the pass. side there is a plug that when it is pluged in alternator works great but a/c compresor will cycle 2 or 3 times then quit. But if I unplug these wires the a/c compresor works great but alternator stops working. The mech tell me one has nothing to do with the other? HELP PLEASE

 

I took to an A/C shop and they feel like it is the mass air flow sensor has gone bad. Is this a possiblity? They say the sensor is telling the engine it does not have enough air to run everthing so it shuts down non esential things.
