Truck looks beautiful! I have a 99 with an 8ft bed, 5spd 4.2 too, and im looking to do exactly this. except witha 2 or 3in body lift. Glad to know im lookin to spend a nice chunk of change on this project. Where did you get your rear end/front end? Did you order them or go to a scrap yard? and what size lift? 6in? and god bless!

If you want to do it right you will spend some money. There is no doubt about that. As far as where i got the Rear end and front end? They where already on the truck.. I purchased my E-Locer and TruTrac from summit racing at the time, and i just went with Yukon Gears; Which everyone normally has.. I think they still might have the best deal. And it is a 6in BDS suspension lift... I spent a lot of time restoring everything aswell though.. While i had the truck up and rear end off i went a head and changed all my U-Joints on the front and rear shaft. Changed my CV Axes out.. Blasted the ol' rear end, front end, and all nasty spots on the frame and herculined it as well.. If you just wanted the lift and tires its not that bad... However i couldn't imagine how much it would have cost to pay someone to do all that too. Anyways Best of luck to you in your project. I'm glad the review helped someone.
