My hose got torn on my rear diff and i didnt notice untill the spider gears were shot

Eeesh, that's spendy... Next time bring it to me... I'll do it for $400.00 parts and labor!! Haha...

Well there won't be a next time I hope, but only $150.00 for the full spider kit and you would want to do axle seals while you're that far in, new gear oil etc... Call it $225.00 or so in parts then a couple hours if even that long in labor...

For $1k I woulda put a locker of your choice in there for ya!

I had a pinion bearing go bad, and rebuilt everything with 4:56's and a locker for less than a grand. Now I just need to stop being lazy and install the 4.56's up front along with the lift.

It also had the seals replaced and the pasenger side axel shaft was shot and I would have rather put in a locker. It also got new pads and roders

Did you clean the dif? Wipe it out with rags/paper towels? If there was any water/ moisture/condensation left in it it could be the problem. It doesn't take much water to contaminate oil.
Replace the vent hose and put a new vent on it.
