Default Hpipe vs straight

Hey all

Last year I had h pipe duals put in 2.5.

Do you think it might be better to remove the cross pipe and just have two straights? Anyone running this and like it?

I just didnt notice any difference at all in performance, and had read before that without crossing you get a problem of one side having more backpressure than the other. But now I am reading people use this setup a lot more.

Thanks for any advice. Yar.

What you have now is better for performance as far as exhaust flow.
Exhaust in a truck should never be done if your just looking for "performance"
Let's face it these trucks are big and heavy and not sports cars.
When choosing an exhaust for a truck just pick the one that sounds the best to you and is of good quality because the actual performance gains are so minimal that there not really felt.
Just leave your exhaust alone and spend the money on an intake or programmer.

That being said the amazing sound and slight boost in performance and mpg is well worth it in my book and I will continue to modify every exhaust system on every truck I own!

Yeah good points. I shouldnt expect anything. I guess I had the "other than stock must = better even if only slightly."

duals out into 45o sure sounds better at least!

Personally, if ur running cats, i really dont think it would matter what u run after them. They are so restrictive. Its like a bottle neck, dont matter the size of the opening or outlet, it cant flow anymore then what the bottleneck "cats" will allow.

You can easily pick up a quite few ponies with a headers back exhaust system, especially after a custom tune

Nobody was talking about headers...thats a whole different story. Especially if you can get away with deleting all the factory cats.

I wasnt talking about the check engine light...I was talking about getting away with the cat delete as far as emissions.
We don't have emissions testing up here. That's why my cats are removed and my programmer deletes the rear o2 sensors so I have no CEL.

Diablosport preditor power programmer.
It's fully tunable. You can literally sit in your truck and write a custom tune.
