Bottom line you're not going to get what you want out of it. Throw it up for sale at maybe 6,500 and say its very negotiable and you will get people talking you down to what you think you can actually get out of it.

I wouldnt give $2000 for it with that many miles dont get me wrong its a good looking truck but damn. I had a 2000 with 150,000 miles. With brand new tires and only got $6000

KELLY BLUE BOOK for these things in tip top shape. no dings. dents. perfect inside is like 11gs tops and under 70k. thats what i read
You have a valid point on money and costs. There is no way, where I live, you'd get an 09 for 20k. It all depends on where you are. The cheapest 09 right here (Ford) now is just under 25k and has 48k on the clock. I can find 09 Chev's for under 20k but I don't drive Chevy's.

Going back to the list of 27k for an F150 in 98, if you would buy that today, you'd be over 40k. I look at it like this, if you paid 27k in 98 and could get 6k in '12, then you lost 21k in actuality for 16 model years, then your loss per year was less than 1500. That in comparison to todays vehicles, you'd lose almost 20k in 4 model years (your 09 example) or $5000 or better, per model year for the newer trucks. I like the percentage better in owning the older trucks.

I didn't think that it was a new motor. I thought that they did a swap out from the red two-toned F150 to the white truck with a used motor/trans. I could be wrong, but the original post doesn't print out anymore. Matter of fact, the whole screen has changed today to something I've never seen before. Did they do something to the format today?

Not sure on the info of the swap but its clear its not the original motor and trans... And I have no change with format on my end but I'm always on an iPhone, it might be different on the computer
