Default How much difference will it make

OK, got a price to change my gears from 3:55 to 3:73... $750 if I buy the gears...

So, my question is this, ho much of a difference am I gonna see if I go to the 3:73's? I have 35X12.50 tires which take some of the power from it, but will going to 3:73's be much of a difference? My other consideration is going with 4:10, but that kills your MPG and top end a good bit... Any thoughts from anyone that changed their gears? Thanks for sharing your input.

Jrube.

With 35" tires, the 4.10 should bring you up to about where you want to be. They would be my choice.
Unless you have a 100 mile highway commute every day.

Price is good price. 4.10 is minimal gear to go with with 35's. 3.73 is not worth the money invested in my opinion. I went with 4.56s with my 35s
and mileage and top end weren't effected much. You have overdrive so top end not a problem. I can still get into triple digits in speed but don't recommend as most truck tires not rated that high. You also get better city mileage as less strain on drivetrain to get moving.
I tow, plow, cruise, etc with my truck.
