Well i think i saw one other guy with more miles than me, i have 510,000 kms on my 99 F150 with a 5.4 in it. That works out to about 319,000 miles. None of which have been easy as its a farm truck and tends to get abused.
Just changed the plugs last weekend, pain to do but runs like a charm now. Also putting on twin electric fans next weekend, waiting to see what that will do.

Wow, over 300k miles for you guys! Amazing! What sort of maintenance and or repairs have you two had to do? Are the 5.4 engines using much oil or anything?

Dan150

I'm not much in to maintenance. I changed the oil middle of december and will probably do it again soon (I try to remember to do it a couple of times a year). Got new tires two weeks ago and put in a new clutch about two months ago and new shocks about a year ago - that is pretty much it other than the regular stuff like brakes every so often. That is the second clutch and third shocks. Forgot - A/C work a few years ago.

The Beast runs great 518xxx km and going!

Thumper... I laughed when I saw you say "the Beast" runs great because that is the exact nickname my truck has gotten over the years...

As for maintenance, just the normal wear and tear pretty much. Brakes, exhaust, bearings, etc. Now that i'm driving this truck instead of other guys on the farm, it gets taken care of a little more.

See if i can coax another 318,000 miles out of it... wish me luck

Nice! That's how I refer to my "F-1-fitty" too.
