I HAD a '97 4.6 4x4 that had just over 205,000 (started with 60,xxx) when I traded for a 2000 250 Diesel, that went to over 301,000 (started with 32,000), I currently have an '02 4.6 4x4 with 226,xxx I've had for the past 180,000, and just got a '99 4.2 4x4 on Sunday with 248,xxx on it. I loved the power of the diesel (130hp tune, injectors and bigger turbo) but the 150's drive and handle a lot better, in 4wd they go anywhere I ever need 'em to. . Wondering what kinda mileage the v-6 is gonna get me

My 2002 (4.2L v6) has just over 1,000 miles

The original owners step son threw a couple of rods at about 151k.

02 4.2L with 125k. Lost my slave cylinder at 72K, shorted a plug wire causing computer issues at 85k, blew my lower intake manifold at 94K, lost my throwout bearing at 95k, need a comp reset at 104k from a bad MAF sensor that screwed with all of the emissions sensors, 4th gear synchronizer is just about gone, needs new bushings up front (bumper was my fault but was worth the investment), the clutch that was replaced at 95k when the throwout bearing went out is already warped from slipping...for a truck I bought 3 years ago for $5K with 67K miles on it, I've put over $4k into it just to keep it running to this point.

When I first got mine with 67K miles on it, I got right around 18/19 on the highway. That's all it ever sees. Now with 125K miles on it, I'm lucky to get 15.
