Good morning from Las Vegas, Nevada. My 02 4.2L v-6 would probably take about 5 gallons to drive the 80 miles. Thats if I got your question correctly. I get 17 miles to the gallon. I'll let you do the math to convert to metric. Good luck and welcome to the forum, its nice to see and talk to others around the world.

Hmm, not meaning to butt in - but 100 kilometers is only about 62.14 miles, not the 80 or so mentioned in the original post.

Because I have too much time on my hands :-)~ here's a little table thrown together:
MilesPerGallon_____liters/100kilometers
10__________________23.8
12__________________19.9
14__________________17.0
16__________________14.9
18__________________13.2
20__________________11.9
22__________________10.8
24___________________9.9
26___________________9.2

Gasoline in these parts is selling for about $1.39 per gallon, which at today's exchange rate of 0.71 Euros per dollar comes out to 0.26 Euros per liter.

Really like the way fuel economy is measured in many other countries - the liters per 100 kilometers. Wish the US would go to something like gallons per 100 miles. Would really help make things much easier to determine what it's really going to cost to operate the vehicle. Just take the gallons per 100 miles value, multiply by the cost of a gallon of gas - and voila - know how much the fuel will cost to drive 100 miles.

Whatta deal - instead of a penny for my thoughts - done went and put in my two cents' worth :-)~
