How many MPG will a 2000 F-150 V8 get compared to the V6?

I meant the 4.6 and I also meant MPG not MPH lol.

which v8, the 4.6 or 5.4? 4.6 probably 16 average. 5.4 probably 14-15 average. and v6 maybe 17 average. these are just guesses on my part. i'f you're gonna be towing or hauling, you'll probably enjoy the v8's more.

about the same, maby one or 2 more MPG, as the v6 is a small motor trying to push around a boat of a truck.

hello. I own a 2000 F150 reg. cab, short bed, 5 speed, 4x4, with the 4.2L V6. It gets about 14-15 mpg shifting at 2000rpm. Not making a lot of low end torque she is kinda slow to start, but takes off at 2500 rpm. I towed a pontiac sunfire around, just had to make the engine work a little harder. Im not sure about the 4.6L, probably around 13 mpg, and better for towing.
