the cv axel is shot on my 2000 i just want to know how big of a job it is to takel and if it needs any special tools to do

 

When I change them i normally take the castle nut off the top ball joint and separate the top arm from the spindle. Then you remove the big nut on the end of the axle the your smaller bolts when the axle bolt to the front chuck an u should be able to pull the axle out then. I think I might have actually pull the tie rod ball joint out to u can't remember it's been some years since i broke an axle.
