Default how do you delete the cat con's out of the computer...?

I have a buddy that knows how to delete the cat cons out of the computer on the new gmc's and I was wondering if anyone knows if the process is the same for the fords as I want to delete them from the computer so I can hollow out the cat and have a real nice straight pipe sound to it...

Not sure about gm crap but my diablo sport preditor power programmer turns them off! Takes 5 min.
Also up here any shop that does custom tuning will do it for a price.

I recently deleted the rear cats with no mufflers and it's ridiculously loud so loud I definitely need to install mufflers, and I like loud haha... I'd try that first, no need to worry bout the CEL either

Also I don't recommend hollowing out your cats... use pipe to replace em, the hollow chamber of a cat shell is a great place for unwanted turbulence

I will look at the obd2 code reader and see if it has a program I can download to do it with...

You have to have an older handheld flasher (the new ones were forced to get rid of that feature due to EPA and CARB) or a custom tuner to do this, its simply not something you can just "delete". Besides, just take off the back two cats and leave the front two, it will sound much better and will not require any tuning changes.

Agreed, I should throw a video clip of mine on YouTube, it's annoyingly loud with just the front two cats... Sound is really poppy and crackly... Gonna go get a muffler asap

Are ya sure about that!? These trucks have 4 converters. I doubt you have 1.
