With all that you should be gettin bout an extra 40-50 hp, what kinda exhaust you have(single or true dual and what size diameter pipes)?

How much horsepower you looking to get would be my first question what are you willing to pay and what are you going to be doing with your truck just for show or you looking to build a work horse

Are the LT or shorty headers and is the programmer custom tunable? Those will be the biggest factors to give a good estimate. Efans would be a good next step after you get everything in.

Every engine is different, and weather also changes power. Roughly, you are looking at:

1-2 whp with CAI
5-10 whp with Long tube headers
15-20 whp with programmer depending on tune

Stock crank HP rating for the 5.4 is 260 or roughly 220-230 WHP. So, with those mods, you are looking at about 250-260 WHP.

If you REALLY want to feel your truck move, the best thing to do is swap the gears with something like 4.11s and a limited slip differential. If you want more power the best thing to do is get a supercharger or spray it with a 100 shot of nitrous.

Default LT or shorty headers

Don't recall just where, this site or F150online, but I saw an excellant thread on headers, with some dyno results posted from a Mustang. It boils down to shorties providing low end torque and very little more HP, and LT headers providing mid-hi end torque and a more HP. So, if you're building a racer, use LT and if you just want a little more pep on the street use shorties.

It is something I've been tossing around, but I will get custom tunes and an efan, before I go the header route.
