I need to do an oil change but the hood is stuck.
When I pull the lever I don't hear the pop.
Any idea on how to get it open?

Have someone stand near the front of your hood and try to jiggle the hood as you pull the lever. After you get it open spray some white lithium grease ont he mechanism to kkeep it operating properly . My wife's Expedtition will do thtat on occasion. Did you ever after the front repaired after a collision? It could be an alignment issue of the catch and hood.

No accident reported on carfax when I purchased the car.

 

Just hit on the top of the hood where the latch is. Sometimes it gets hung up.. had it happen on mine a few times. I think it was just mud though.

 

On your way home when your gettin close just hold the hood lever out and hit some bumps Haha it'll pop... then x2 on the white lithium works wonders, I do my doors, tool box and hood latch a couple times a year with that stuff
